To see lives transformed

through following Jesus...

our values

Worship

We believe that worship in all aspects is a means of grace and should be centered on giving all glory, honor, and praise to the triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - through word and deed.

Word

We believe in the authority and inerrancy of scripture and follow God’s teachings as the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

Compassion

We are a people characterized by sacrificial steadfast love. We seek to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly before our Savior Jesus Christ.

Community

We are a covenantal and confessional community of humble saints who pursue life together in unity as members of the body of Christ.

our identity

CVPC is dedicated to the worship of God, the fellowship of the Saints, and serving those in our community.  We believe in the transformative power of God’s grace.

God's Call To The Valley

Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church was founded in 1949 when local residents of Flintstone, Georgia, organized under the leadership of Rev. Josyah B. Mack, Superintendent of Home Missions for Knoxville Presbytery. The congregation began by meeting in homes and was officially organized with 42 charter members on November 27, 1949, at the home of Charles N. Morse, Sr. The church became affiliated with the PCA in June 1982. Today, the church looks much the same with the addition of a fellowship building. Now the church is bursting out the seams with Sunday school, small groups, Bible studies, a dedicated staff, missions, and community service projects.

Walking In The Word

“Walking in the Word” is our new series in the Gospel of John, where every chapter pulses with the promise of new beginnings, deeper understanding, and a transformative encounter with Christ. Our John series is designed for seekers, unbelievers, and faithful alike, for those longing for clarity and those eager for mystery. Whether you are reading John for the first time or returning with seasoned devotion, each sermon beckons you to walk alongside the Living Word, to listen, question, and be changed.
