Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church is an intergenerational mix of the saints with over 80 children and youth worshiping alongside younger and older families, singles, retirees, and college students. Our body is passionate for rich Biblical teaching and believes that the means of grace are essential for discipleship and growing our relationship with the Lord. A mix of blue collar and white collar workers attend CVPC. We are affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We are seeking a part-time Assistant Youth Director. (6th grade - 12th grade).

Assistant Youth Director Ministry Description
For Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church, Flinstone, GA
CVPC is seeking a male who longs to see students' lives captivated by Jesus and see their lives transformed through following Jesus.
The Assistant Youth Director will assist the Session, Pastor and Youth Director with the mission and vision of CVPC (see below).
The Assistant Youth Director will oversee the Middle School and High School male discipleship ministry and volunteers.
The Assistant Youth Director will assist the Youth Director with the strategy and ministry of the CVPC Youth Group.

A love for the Lord Jesus Christ, the gospel of grace, the local church and making disciples of young people.
A commitment to the Reformed faith as expressed in the Westminster Standards.
A strong sense of calling to minister to students and families.
A humble, teachable spirit who respects the leadership structure of the Church, submitting to the Session.
Infectious love of God’s Word and communicating it to our youth.
Relational: Able to meet students where they are at and draw them into deeper connection/honest communication with one another and ultimately the church body.
Servant-Leader: Shaped by a deep love for who Jesus is and confidence in what he has done.
Member in good standing of a Presbyterian/Reformed Church.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
1. Personal Growth
a. Regular time & place for personal devotion
b. Build relationships for encouragement, wisdom and accountability
c. Prayerfully and carefully seek to cultivate the character and confident humility of God’s Grace, Mercy and Peace in Jesus
2. Congregation (Youth & Their Families)
a. Maintain and Communicate your schedule with staff, Session and congregational communication.
b. Works with the Youth Director to plan the annual calendar of teaching, discipleship, fellowship and serving activities.
c. Regular communication with CVPC Youth and their Families.
d. Establish connections with youth (prioritizing male students), helping them to establish connections with their peers.
e. Generate a written report monthly to the Youth Director about ministry activities`. f. Regularly meet with a Pastor of CVPC.
g. Regular meeting with the Youth Director to continue education, reflect and set goals for the ministry.
3. Community
a. Assist the Youth Director with coordinating community wide youth group events.
b. Develop a presence among area youth by visiting their schools and being available to assist them in ways appropriate to Jesus’ Kingdom Mission to bless the nations.
Compensation:
The Assistant Youth Director will be expected to work 20 hours per week. (excludes holidays).
The pay is $16.50 an hour.
